Fifteen years of experience working with energy therapies
Modern medicine and clinical care has its benefits and is vital in the treatment of serious injury and illness. I believe that energetic or vibrational medicine such as Reiki, Kinesiology, and Crystal Healing Therapies can address all levels of the body in helping to relieve pain, stress, and fatigue and that these therapies have a place alongside modern medicine in the healing process. I like to create a partnership with a client in that we work together to bring about a sense of calm relaxation in our goal to create a shift the client's energy. For me, the most important aspect of a session is to really listen to the client and gain a good understanding of the issues at hand. My intent is to lighten the client's burden and assist them in activating their body's natural healing processes.
Over the years, I have witnessed countless people find peace, understanding, and healing, however, I was originally drawn to alternative therapies after the sudden loss of my sister to an aneurysm in 1998. It was a point where I just couldn't make sense of the sadness and grief. The healing modalities that serve mind, body, and soul have helped me through many of life's trials and tribulations as well as with additional grief in the sudden loss of my husband to a heart attack in 2014. To be honest, its an ongoing journey and continued courage and strength without him is something I will be working on for a long time to come. These events have taught me to never take anything or anyone for granted, as well as to be compassionate for others - because you never know what a person may be experiencing at the moment you come in contact with them.
I'm passionate about the importance of a life well lived - regardless of whether its lived presently or centuries ago and have a bachelor's degree in anthropology focused in archaeology. I am also a licensed real estate agent and enjoy documenting personal histories, writing, and have several publications available at the MN history center. My favorite pastime is spending time with my family at our 1918 log cabin in northern Minnesota.
